Over the past few days we’ve had a lot of enquiries and questions about why Sam’s hasn’t reopened despite the easing of restrictions. And about when we will reopen.

In order to secure the future of Sam’s Chop House and Cavendish House, the building in which we stand, we have come to an agreement with our landlords to support renovations and improvements to the building.

THE SITUATION AT SAM'S

WHY WE HAVEN'T RE-OPENED

The work means Sam’s will remain closed to dine-in for a little while longer. Timings are uncertain at this stage. Though we will keep you updated on our progress.

One thing we do know, though, is that Sam’s will return bigger and better. We will return with the new facilities and outside space needed to secure a bright long-term future for our historic restaurant.

There is one condition. We need to stay alive in the meantime. And this means continuing to trade with our Home Service and Wine Club

Which is why we ask for your continued support and custom through this extension of our lockdown.

Help us carry on serving Manchester for another 152 years.

Many thanks
